Monticello Trip -Thanks Nana & Papa!
We were treated to a trip to Monticello and Michie's Tavern by Nana & Papa for our Anniversary. It was a great time. Joseph is a huge fan of Thomas Jefferson so he was "disney excited" the whole time. I enjoyed the house tour the most of any historic home I have toured. T.J. truly was an amazing man. Learning about his life was inspiring.
Front of Thomas Jefferson's home in Charlottesville VA.
View of the back of the house.

In front of T.J. grave. It's awkward to have a photo by a grave. Should you smile cheerfully or go for the grim look?

Michie's Tavern. Delicious. I enjoyed the fried chicken, pulled pork, and the fireside dining.
Dessert is the best part of any meal... It was really cheap too! Peach cobbler & two fudge cookies outside of very creamy vanilla ice cream. yum!
The best root beer I have ever had. "old dominion" is the brand.

Isabella tested the sturdiness of the table with her 12lb self. (It held.)

I could really tear up some of that dessert right now.
